On April 30th, I had the privilege of shooting the wedding of Jackie & Derric Maddry. These two have such a sweet love story and testimony, I just had to be apart of their special day. (And, since I had never seen Jackie wear a dress before, I knew this was an event not to be missed!) Being such a gorgeous girl, I convinced her to pose for some bridal portraits right before the wedding. So here are some of those images. Enjoy, because you may never see her in a dress again! :-P

Casey's Graduation Shoot
One of the things I love about spring and this time of year is the opportunity to get back outside and have some fun outdoor photo shoots. So, a couple weeks ago, I took East Rowan senior Casey Little to downtown Salisbury for an outdoor graduation shoot. The weather was perfect as we went from alleyways, to railroad tracks, to even the courthouse steps having fun and snappin' it up. Here are some shots from the day. Take note of the last one - that was his home run ball from the previous night's game. Congrats, Casey! (I'm suddenly reminded of "Casey at Bat".) Good luck at WVU in the fall!
Atalie Selah Vess
On Tuesday, April 14th, our brother & sister in law celebrated the birth of their daughter and our niece, Atalie. Just under 4lbs, she was the smallest newborn baby I'd ever seen. But she is strong and healthy, gaining and growing every day and now home with her family, doing fine. Here are some shots of her first day on earth. Welcome to the world, Atalie!

Jenny's Bridal Session (Sneak Peek)
This week I went to the quaint and beautiful Memorial Gardens in Concord for a bridal portrait session with Jenny. And I had some help from my awesome assistant, Toni Blackshire. (Check out her work!)
Jenny is getting married in May to her fiance Tyler and I'm honored and excited to shoot their big day! Jenny's an absolutely gorgeous girl and her dress is equally as stunning. But, we can't spoil the big reveal, so this is all you're getting until after the wedding.
